Along ridgetop, old agricultural fields, now heavily overgrown with shrubs and small trees. Perhaps originally planted but certainly now invasive, in veiy overgrown old field with planted Pinus strobus and spontaneous Primus serótina, Rhus typhina. Shrub 3 m. tall, with several stems to 6 cm. in diameter. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Leaves silvery below. Fruit green, a few beginning to turn orange. Coll.: M.
