Nee, 2015 Wisconsin, Richland Co., 3 miles SE of center of Richland Center, along old railroad, now a hiking/biking trail, SE of Spring Creek, floodplain of wide Pine River valley. 43°18’25”N, 90°20’34”W. alt. 218 m. T 10 N; R 1 E;NEWNWHi sect. 35. Rankly brushy area With Heracleum lanatum, Corylus americana, Ulmus americana, Acer negundo, Prunus americana, Vitis riparia, Humulus lupulus, Quercus macrocarpa and Lonicera x bella complex. Shrub 3 m. tall, with few stems in a clump, to 3 cm. in diameter, ± the maximum size for the species here, then replaced by fast-growing shoots with bipinnate leaves.Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Inflorescence flat-topped; flowers white. Some inflorescences with flowers fallen and very immature green fruit; only a few inflorescences still in bud. Coll.: M.
