Grant Co.. 1 mile SW of center of Muscoda. 43°10,33',N. 90°28,22,‘W. alt. 205 m. T 8 N, R 1 W; SWl/4 SE'A sect. 10. Extensive flat fields on sandy soil, with center-pivot irrigation. Adjacent fields now with very different weed floras (Cerastium semidecandrum, Arenaria serpyllifolia, vs. Descurainia sophia), due to different histories of cultivation with Zea mays and Glycine max in the last year or two. Abundant, the dominant weed over 50 acres and giving the field a gray-green appearance. Descurainia sophia (see no. 56287). dominant in an adjacent field, is absent here. Coll.: M.
