Unshaded, ballast or closely mown lawn area, the original soil
very sandy. The spring annuals nearing end of their life cycle,
with Descurainia pinnata, Draba nemorosa, Cerastium
fontanum, Veronica vema, Veronica peregrina var. peregrina,
Arenaria serpyllifolia, Androsace occidentalis.
Weak herb. Bracts scarious; petal veins branched; stamens
5; styles 5.
