Unshaded, gravelly areas, and adjacent mowed lawn, the
original soil here very sandy, with Descurainia pinnata,
Androsace occidentalis, Veronica arvensis, Arenaria
serpyllifolia, Poa compressa. The spring annuals are
nearing the end of their growth cycle.
On gravel ballast along or between the tracks, often the only
species in this habitat.
