0.3-0.4 mile south of junction with Illinois Route 146.
Mississippi River floodplain. Ware 7.5 minute U.S.G.S.
quadrangle. Elevation 340-350 feet. Alluvial soil, silt
and sand, disturbed.
Maintained lawns at weigh station, not mowed yet this
year; weedy annuals common, including: Veronica
arvensis, Arenaria serpyllifolia, Cerastium pumilum,
Sibara virginica, Poa annua, Galium pedemontanum,
Geranium dissectum. Bordering floodplain forest on
elevated slope at north margin of cypress swamp.
Common erect tufted (multistemmed) annual herb;
flowers white.
