In or at edge of the Pozo, a deep borrow pit for road
construction, now with a shallow lake in the bottom and
brushy and disturbed vegetation on the steep banks.
Becoming branched and woody at base, to 2 m. tall, with
adventitious roots. In full flower (ca. 11:00 A.M.), but
petals delicate and completely pasted to the newspaper
when dried. Flowers bright yellow.
