Nee, 1993 Texas, Grayson Co., Chamberlain’s Ridge subdivision, 6 miles SE of center of Sherman. 33°35’N, 96°31’W. Grassy lawns, with scattered Juniperus virginiana, Diospvros vireiniana, Maclura pomifera. Robust weed in garden, 1.5 m. tall, soft-woody at base, branched, the terminal flowering portion of the branches erect; plant viscid, ill- scented. Petals very pale purple, appearing white, rest of flower light purple. Fruit green, erect. Voucher for bulk medicinal screening by Pfizer Inc.: 43910a ST (Nee-661). Coll.: M.
