Location
Guyana. Approximately 7 1/2 mls. N.N.W. of the N.'prow' of Mt. Roraima. Seasonally dried up boulder-strewn gravel area where a loop of the Waruma river rejoins the main course. The Waruma is a tributary of the Kako & Mazaruni rivers. Near Camp 4.

Habitat
Common sedge on sides & bottom of a seasonal stream (not running on visit). Some 50 ft. from nearest piece of riverine rain forest, the predominant vegetation of the area. Seasonally dried up boulder-strewn gravel area.

Description
Common sedge. Leaves adaxially very glossy, dark green; abaxially dk. green, matt. Inflorescences pale fawn. T.S. leaf:- [see label for illustration]. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
