Floating island. On bog island. Sphagnum bog, with Pinus, Larix laricina, Picea, Vaccinium, Decodon, Chamaedaphnea. Locally common.

Small tree, 5-6 m. tall, 2-3.5 dm. d.b.h., with reddish cones. Sample part: LF & TW, ST. NCI CODE 0GDK2924-2925. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
