Dewey UVALDE CO.: occasional in occasionally mown herbaceous vegetation on unshaded highway right-of-way on level upland with surface geology mapped as Carrizo Sand (doubtful), on soils mapped as Uvalde silty clay loam (deep, well drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline Aridic Calciustolls), both sides of St. Rt. 140 at and north of what is marked as the Zavala Co. line, at N29°05'25.2”, W099°33’02.3”. Elev. 870 ft. Associates included Acleisanthes longiflora, Allium drummondii, Amblyolepis setigera, Ammoselinum popei, Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Aristida purpurea, Bouteloua curtipendula, B. rigidiseta, B. trifida, Colubrina texensis, Condalia hookeri, Delphinium sp., Diospyros texana, Engelmannia peristenia, Evax vema, Gaillardia pulchella, G. suavis, Glandularia bipinnatifida, G. quadrangulata, Hermannia texana, Lappula redowskii, Lepidium lasiocarpum, Linum rigidum, Menodora heterophylla, Nassella leucotricha, Panicum hallii, Prosopis glandulosa, Salvia ballotiflora, Salvia texana, Schaefferia cuneifolia, Scutellaria drummondii, Sida abutifolia, Thelesperma filifolium, Tiquilia canescens, Verbena canescens.
