oak forest on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained,
neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic
Paleustalfs), on gently rolling upland underlain by Eocene
sand, just inside gate to Hoppy Springs Tract, SE side of St.
Rt. 21 ca. 0.4-0.5 roadmiles SW of its jet. with F. M. 1441
NE of Bastrop, at N30°08'52.9”, W097°13’52.4”. Bastrop
State Park. Smithville NW Quadrangle. Elev. 460-480 ft.
