grassland openings in live oak woodland on nearly level
upland underlain by Glen Rose Limestone, on soils mapped
as shallow, well drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline
silty clay (Doss Series, Typic Calciustolls), along main road
between house and creek crossing on E side of Davidson
property, ca. 1.4 airmiles NW of jet. R. M. 473 and R. M.
3160 in Kendalia, at N29°58’46.8”, W098°32’29.7”. Elev.
1360-1380 ft.
Associates included Asclepias asperula, Bothriochloa ischaemum,
Cirsium texanum, Coreopsis sp., Daucus pusillus, Elymus sp., Glandularia
bipinnatifida, Heliotropium tenellum, Hymenopappus scabiosaeus,
Melampodium leucanthum, Panicum hallii, Phyllanthus polygonoides,
Plantago rhodosperma, Ratibida colunmifera, Spermolepis inermis,
