PLANTS OF ILLINOIS, USA Arabis shortii (Fern.) Gleason Brassicaceae Det.: S.R. Hill, (ILLS) 2005 OGLE COUNTY 42° 02’ 52.3” N. Lat. 089° 20’ 44.3” W. Long. [GPS]. T.24 N., R 10 E., SE 1/4 NE1/4 SW 1/4 sect. 28. West side of IL Route 2, west side of the Rock River, 0.5 mile north of main entrance to the Stronghold and Blackhawk Presbytery and camp. Upper portion of ridge just below The Castle, south of Mud Creek. Elevation ca. 722-738 feet. Dolomite cliffs / outcrops. Dry-mesic upland forest at ridgetop, with Acer negundo, Acer saccharum, Aquilegia canadensis, Juglans nigra, Pellaea glabella, Quercus muhlenbergii, Q. rubra, Ribes cynosbati, Solidago flexicaulis, Tilia americana. Flowers cream-yellow; occasional local delicate herb in small pockets of humus, shaded dolomite cliff faces; stems appressed to rock. 03171596
