  • Habitat

    Abundant in forest on the sheltered side of the ridge, occasionally growing in the open, stunted. With R. arboreum. Also found at the Somra Pass in November, where, however, it is not common.

  • Description

    A good sized shrub, sometimes epiphytic. Flowers white in trusses of 3 or 4, with a golden plume on the upper hobe, sometimes flushed purplish pink on the outside; fragrant. K. obsolete, fringed with bristles. C. pubescent at the base, lepdote below. A. woolly at the base. Ovary and style lepidote. Leaves closely lepidote below. (Young leaves lepidote on both surfaces, and have bristly margins.) Petiole bristly.
