    More or ess gregarious on precipitous rocky, but forested slopes facing south and west.

  • Description

    A fine robust tree of great girth - one specimen measures 7 feet 10 in. about a foot above ground, but rarely exceeding 30-40 feet high. Flowers crimson - cerise. Whole inflorescence quite glabrous except minor bud scales which are silky.
