NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 03168569 PLANTS OF THE GUIANAS Xyridaceae Abolboda grandis Griseb. var. grandis Det. M.T. Strong, 2011 GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Kako River vicinity, above Kako Village, near Camp 3, ca. 22 air km east of Tulameng summit (summit 1534m, N 5°33'27.1", W 60°59'34.7M). 493 m. 5°33'33.5"N 60°46'55.2"W. White sand savanna with sandstone rock outcrops. Dimorphandra dominant on shrub islands and drier parts. Grading to wet areas with standing water. Central part recently burned. Erect herb growing in stream and very wet places. Leaves ascending. Inflorescence scapose, scape mottled purple, bracts subtending flower green with purple apex. Flowers purple. Silica sample. K.J.
