Leaf dark green and velvety, bullate, above; the
lower side bearing nearly only glandular yellow*-
knobbed hairs. Leaves of a pair very unequal.
Hypanthium bearing white or pink, yellow-knobbed
glandular hairs* Petals thin, diaphanous, yellow-
ish-green, slightly waxy. Filaments white, anthers
pale, connective dark pink. Stamens bent upwards,
the yellowish-green style deflexed*
Hab. : Moist sec. forest between road to Republiek
and Dr. Geyskes* house; undergrowth. A common shrub,
1 - 1.5 m tall.
