general vicinity. Whitaker Peak USGS 7.5' quadrangle;
T6N R17W, S&l section 16, and N/2 NE/4 section 22;
elevation 1615-1880 (riparian area and lower adjacent
slopes).
Locally common shrub, particularly on loose soil of
slopes, spreading by means of root sprouts. Corolla ca.
10 mm long, pale lavender.
