Fran. 260. 1891. No. 8626, collected May 31, on Mt. Hamilton, Santa Clara county, at an elevation of about 3900 feet, growing on a stony slope. It is from type locality. A beautiful plant with very dark metallic purple flowers, considered by some to be but a form of Streptanthus glandulosus.
