Stout, glabrous, glaucous plants with succulent, sessile, deeply
cordate, clasping leaves; petals white, lower 2 with purple mid-
rib. Serpentine, in openings of chaparral (Quercus durata, Q. du-
mosa, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Arctostaphylos sp.), altitude ca.
3500 feet. Paskenta-Colyer Springs road 0.3 miles below Frank-
lin Point road junction and 30.4 miles northwest of Paskenta,
150 feet within eastern boundary of Mendocino National Forest,
Tehama County.
