FLORA OF ALASKA
Oxyria cLigyna (L.) Hill
JUNEAU ICEFIELD: South of outhouse on Camp
18 (FGER) Nunatak and approximately 40' above
contained ice tongue. Elevation approxi-
mately 5,250' on fresh mineral surface with
sparsely developed, moist soil, sparse vege-
tation, and many sharp rock fragments; light
colored surface. Pm granitic. On steep,
lower slope with south aspect. Common, with
Poa alpina, Poa sp., Epilobium latifolia,
Saxifraga bronohialis3 S-Llene aoaulis3 and
Saxifraga oppositifolia. Plants rather suc-
culent and fragile. Fruits broadly winged
with red margins.
