Elevation approxi- mately 5,250' on fresh mineral surface with sparsely developed, moist soil, sparse vege- tation, and many sharp rock fragments; light colored surface. Pm granitic. On steep, lower slope with south aspect. Common, with Poa alpina, Poa sp., Epilobium latifolia, Saxifraga bronohialis3 S-Llene aoaulis3 and Saxifraga oppositifolia. Plants rather suc- culent and fragile. Fruits broadly winged with red margins. Collected by: D.R. Lubin 065 August 13, 1982 03155592
