near apex, sharply flattened midway,
mottled with greenish purple in lower
1/2 with somewhat shaded areas of white !\

matte-subvelvety above, slightly paler
and weakly glossy below; midrib and
posterior rib obtusely sunken and
concolorous above, narrowly rounded and
matte below; primary lateral veins
weakly sunken and concolorous above
(only 1 obvious pair), weakly and
narrowly raised and paler below;
inflorescence about as long as leaves;
peduncle terete, similarly marked as
petiole on lower 2/3rd; spathe erect,
dark green and matte-subvelvety outside,
slightly paler and matte inside, twisted
one complete revolution above middle;
spadix cylindroid, dark olive-green with
purple pistiIs.
