Hemiepiphytic vine, sometimes hanging
from trees; internodes dark green,
matte, becoming gray, finally
yellow-brown, acutely flattened on one
side; cataphylls sharply 2-ribbed,
green, weakly glossy; petioles acutely
flattened on one side, medium green,
densely dark-1ineate; blades
subcoriaceous, dark green and
semiglossy above, much paler and matte
below; midrib flat and slightly paler
above, bluntly angular and slightly
darker below; primary lateral veins
obscure above, weakly visible,
scarcely raised and darker below;
minor veins obscure; inf1orescences
2-5 per axil; peduncle medium green,
clearly demarcated; spathe reddish on
tube, whitish on blade outside,
whitish throughout inside; female
spadix greenish.
