Flora of the Paumonek Wetland, Long Island Alliaria petiolata (Bieb.) Cavara & Grande NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School, near the edge of the woods, close to the athletic field. Flowers white. Loosely scattered in humus rich soil. Growing in an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Carya tomentosa, Acer platanoides, Lonicera japónica, Viburnum acerifolium, and Lindera benzoin. Matthew C.
