Dry to dry-mesic, degraded dolomite prairie with:
Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Sporobolus vaginiflorus,
Verbena simplex, Panicum spp., Opuntia, Bouteloua
curtipendula. Occasional to locally common erect
herb with white flowers; at margin of'pavement'.

Shallow (4-10 cm deep) disturbed loamy clay with gravel
over level dolomite bedrock "pavement”.
