Ca. 13 km. north of San Rafael. Slopes of Volcan Barba. Abandoned pastureland with secondary growth. Elev. ca. 1700-1800 m. Epiphytic shrub with branches to 2 m. long. Leaf margins strongly revolute toward base with conspicuous small formicarial pouch- like excrescences at petiole laminar jet. on adaxial side. Flowers pendant; petals greenish and suffused with purple, but rosy-pink basally. Filaments and style greenish. Anther deep purple-black.
