florets all yellow; with Stevia, Seran-
iui, Pinus discolor (area dominant),
bracken fern and Delphiniusi andesicola
(understory dosinant); elev. 8200 ft.
Plants shrubby, 1.5 to 2 a tall and
broad with up to 20 uprights per caudex,
very coffiiaon also on the unshaded talus
slope
