Polygonum lapathifolium L.
det. M. Nee, 2008. Matching some specimens from China.
Leaf shape and size and the long, drooping inflorescences match
this species. Of the 86 sheets of P. lapathifolium at NY from New
York and New Jersey, only the following have ciliate ochreae
(this often not apparent in mature specimens) and ochreoleae, and
in this character resembling P. persicaria L. New York. Bronx
