Puerto Rico. N of Hwy 2 at Km marker 217, just east of town of Tallaboa, on slopes facing the sea.

Habitat
Scrub forest with many characteristic arid species, no trees or shrubs over ca. 2.5 m tall. Guettarda, Uniola virgata, Comocladia dodonaea, Thrinax morrisii, Turnera diffusa, Nashia, Antirhea acutata, Scolosanthus versicolor. Limestone substrate on slope.

Description
Small tree or shrub, 2.1 m tall, branches lateral, bark brown; flowers yellow; species common at this site. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
