RD 304 (in Delhi); deep, loose sand of the
Carrizo Formation; oak woodland of Quercus
stellata alone; understory of Ilex vomitoria
with scattered Juniperus and Bumelia; rich
roadside herbaceous flora;
Scattered but common. Rays orange-yellow with
dark to light maroon bases (1/4-1/2 ray length),
disks maroon.
