Medium sized clump on a slight slope in humus rich woodsy soil. Solid green leaves; flowers white, male flowers above the female flowers on the slender raceme. Ocreae pubescent. Flowers visited by golden- brown ants. Growing in an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Tilia cordata, Juglans nigra, Lindera benzoin, Maianthemum racemosum, and Eurybia divaricata. Matthew C.
