Polygonaceae Polygonum virginianum L. det. M. Nee, 1993 Wisconsin, Richland Co., 3 miles SE of Richland Center. T 10 N; R 1 E; SEiNW* sect. 35. County Farm property on NE side of Pine River, ca. 40-year old stand of Quercus ellipsoidalis, Acer saccharinum, a few older open-grown Quercus macrocarpa, just above the marshiest part of Pine River flood plain. With Laportea canadensis, Zanthoxvlum americanum. Common. Inflorescence pale green to greenish white. Voucher for bulk medicinal screening by Pfizer: 43816a PX (Nee-488). Coll.: M.
