  • Description

    Tree to 5 m. high with trunk 15 cm. in diameter with spines. Branches very spiny with stipular spines. Leaves with coriaceous leaflets, dark green above, pale beneath. Calyx black. Petals purple with more bluish standard, which has a white blaze at base of limb. Keel pale. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
