Semi-shade forest. Rich humus. This species
mostly found as a shrub, sometimes as a tree
as in the specimen collected. Height: 20 feet,
base 3 inches. Bark green, faintly striated,
somewhat rough. In full flower. The spikes
creamy white when in best form. Elev* 5300 ft.
