OREGON, Baker Co., toe slope above Brownlee Reservoir, 0.1 miles N of mouth of Conner Creek; Artemisia tridentata ssp. tridentata/grass - degraded, heavy present use by horses, Haplopappus not eaten to any degree; east exposure, 30-40% slope, 2150 ft.; common with Artemisia dracunculus, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, C. nauseosus, Bromus tectorum and Eriogonum compositum; extensive population covering about 2 acres, hundreds of mature plants and seedlings, an additional stringer population extends N some 200 m near old irrigation ditch.
