Sagebrush-steppe gentle rolling hills seperating Camas Prairie from Wood River valley, NE of magic Reservoir and ca. 16 air-km SW of Bellevue, in drainageway crossing HWY 20 at "Sheep Bridge" sign, mile post 174. Along edges of ephemerally wet drainageway ecotonal to Artemisia trident ata-bunchgrass, with Navarretia, Rumex, Bromus tectorum, B. squarrosus. Ca. 100 plants from HWY conduit continuing up drainage several hundred meters. Full sun. Rays bright yellow, conspicuous. Most plants N of fence, heavily grazed. Same population as collection S. Popovich 6211A-D & S. Weiss. Elev: ca. 1487m Slope: 0-2% Aspect: S Ownership: Federal-BLM Soil: loose, sandy, more fine-textured with depth. Collector: S. Popovich 6221D & B.
