LAKE COUNTY: T33S R16E S16 SESW. Foothills of eastside of Cascade
Mtns., on "Winter Ridge" tableland, ca. 15 air-mi W of town of Paisley,
Oregon, Fremont National Forest. Hundreds of plants in rocky, dry sage-grass
opening in Pinus ponderosa - P. contorta park-like forest, roadside, several
hundred yards E on road 450 from junction with 28 road. Ray flowers wantingr&W'
disc flowers pale yellow; achenes glabrous; pappus tawny. Stems generally J
curved at base. WIPoa, Sitanion hystrix, Artemisia tridentata, Linanthastrum,
Danthonia unispicata. Area lightly grazed.
