Hundreds of plants in rocky, dry sage-grass opening in Pinus ponderosa - P. contorta park-like forest, roadside, several hundred yards E on road 450 from junction with 28 road. Ray flowers wantingr&W' disc flowers pale yellow; achenes glabrous; pappus tawny. Stems generally J curved at base. WIPoa, Sitanion hystrix, Artemisia tridentata, Linanthastrum, Danthonia unispicata.
