SISKIYOU COUNTY: Mount Bradley; in rocks 10-50
meters west of lookout; also east of lookout in rocky
openings; UTM zone 10, 557986 east, 4563604 north,
+/-13 feet (NAD83). Elevation 5556 feet.
Petals spreading, yellow, becoming red-tinged with age.
Anthers yellow, becoming light brown.
Granite boulders surrounding scree; montane shparral
habitat. Aspect 36°. Associated species: Abies
concolor, Streptanthus tortuosus, Penstemon cf. laetus,
Ceanothus prostratus, Prunus emarginata, Cistanthe
umbellata, Eriogonum sp., Garrya fremontii, Castilleja
applegatei.
