Description
Tree to 7 m. with stout trunk & spreading branches. Young stems brown, leaves scabrid, dark green above, paler beneath. Calyx tube reddish, sepals red. Petals bright, deep purple. Stamen filaments pale whitish, with reddish pink hairs. Anthers pink. Style reddish pink. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
