Secondary very dense mixed forest by small stream, on lateritic soils.

Description
Slender tree with ascending branches to 12 m. Leaves rather coriaceous, dark green, glossy above, grey-green beneath. Sepals reddish. Petals bright magenta. Stamens with filaments white beneath, purple with purple hairs above, anthers reddish-purple. Style reddish-purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
