Habitat
Sandstone rock outcrops with small area of disturbed marsh at base, and nearby river with lush vegetation along rocky margins. This plant growing by river margin.

Description
Large tree to 10 m. tall with trunk 80 cm diameter. Leaves coriaceous, darl glossy green above, grey-green beneath. Sepals and bracteoles pinkish-tinged with grey hairs. Petals bright magenta. Filaments white, anthers pale purplish. Style magenta. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
