In gravelly, granitic soil on gentle, NNE-facing slope with Larrea.
Ambrosia & Fouquieria. Plants highly aromatic & densely villous;
phyllaries in 2 series, the outer wider & often with recurved tips;
disk florets yellowish to cream-colored or pinkish; pappus of
numerous, capillary bristles coalescent at the base. Elev. 575 ft.
