R29E, Sec 5, Elevation 4,000 ft.
These perennials have gray green leaves and small
yellow flowers. Plants have a unique odor. Growing
in sand with Mentzelia laevicaulus, Camissonia boothii, Ephedra
nevadensis, Oryzopsis hymenoides. Native Americans used these
plants for tooth aches and eye wash.
