Cooperstown. Alluvial level clay-silt (mud) at margin o
excavated trench, S side of artificial levee of La Moine
River.
North margin of disturbed, burned floodplain forest
(Acer negundo, A. saccharinum, Ulmus, Celtis).
Occasional colonial rhizomatous perennial 1 m tall,
flowers lavender-pink, lip with pale and dark lines; bract
tinted purplish towards margins.
