Somewhat poorly drained upland flats; trees, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Pinus strobus; shrub layer, Lonicera morrowi, Rhamnus cathartica, Vitis riparia; herbs Helianthus tuberosus, Aster ?lanceolatus.

Tree, 5 dm dbh, 25 m tall, more columnar bushy, compact than typical pennsylvanica. Fruiting.
