Habitat
In thick cerrado: small trees to 3m tall spaced 3-5m apart (mostly barbatimao), plus shrubs to 1½-2m tall. Reddish brown fine sandy clay.

Thin shrub 1-1½m tall. Petals white, anthers yellow; or petals lavender and anthers golden-yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
