Description
herb. Related to P. huthisonii and P. nivalis, but minutely asperous instead of coarsely rugose (as the former) or smooth (as the latter), and with differently shaped leaves, rusty grey-brown, not violet (as former) or green (as latter). Voucher for chromosome count, n = 11, count by Marion Cave, 1966. Pressed 28 April 1966 by P. C. Hutchison, field number 6121; cultivation number 64.2268-1. Grown from importerd plants of the above collection at Honolulu Botanic Garden. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
