PLANTS OF CALIFORNIA
Butte County
11591 Seneeio triangularis Hook. FI. Bor.
Am. 1: 332. 1833.
A. A. Heller, collector	July 23, 1914.
Found sparingly in wet, grassy places in Chico, meadows,
elevation 4000 feet. This habitat is lower than the species usu-
ally occurs, but it does not seem to be referable to S. trigono-
phyllus Greene- While the yellow pine, Pinus ponderosa, is the
prevailing tree in the surrounding forest, the incense cedar,' white
fir and Douglas fir are plentiful, The type was collected in the
Rocky mountains by Drummond.
