Flora of Montauk FABACEAE Hylodesmum glutinosum (Miihl. ex Willd.) H. Ohashi & R.R. Mill United States of America. New York: Suffolk County. East Hampton Township, hamlet of Montauk. Hither Hills State Park. (4i.oi374°N, 72.oi841°W). Plants 10-15 cm tall. West of Rail road tracks and east of Fresh Pond in Oak-Hickory Forest understory with Carex pensylvanica, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Achillea millefolium, Pyrola americana, Sassafras albidum, Carya tomentosa, Quercus alba, Sanicula canadense and Dichanthelium boscii. Very rare. *Note this is the author’s first observation of this species, brought to her attention by Allison Harrington. Approximately 30 plants in the immediate vicinity but more scattered further along trail to Fresh Pond. Victoria Bustamante -940 23 Sep 2016 03097967
